The best time to plant spring bulbs depends on the specific type of bulb and the climate of your
region. In general, spring bulbs are planted in the autumn before the ground freezes. This allows the
bulbs to establish roots before winter and to be ready to bloom in the spring.
Some common spring bulbs and their planting times are:
- Tulips: Plant in the autumn, about 6-8 weeks before the first hard frost in your
area.
- Daffodils: Plant in the autumn, about 4-6 weeks before the ground freezes.
- Crocuses: Plant in the autumn, about 6-8 weeks before the first hard frost in
your area.
- Hyacinths: Plant in the autumn, about 6-8 weeks before the first hard frost in
your area.
It's important to check the specific planting instructions for the bulbs you're using to
ensure the best results.
The bulbs I planted in my PINK BUFFALO POTS last October are just peaking through...something I cant
help but find super exciting! I have used filler plastic pots inside my PINK BUFFALO POTS so that once
the bulbs have died back I can change them for some colourful summer bedding plants! This ensures
continuous colour from April until October.
